Blueberry and Strawberry Coffee Cake


A quick and tasty coffee cake with buttery crumb topping. The addition of chopped strawberries adds a nice tang to the standard blueberry coffee cake.

The batter will be somewhat stiff and the berries hard to mix in, but keep at it. It seems like there will be too much berry to batter ratio, but the cake rises and the coffee cake will have the right amount of berry content.

  1. Sounds delicious and perfect for a July 4th brunch. But, what size pan? I must be missing something.

    1. Sorry it didn’t work for you. It has 3/4 cup of sugar, so I’m not sure how sweet you like your things. I generally try to make things not on the overly sweet side. Also, sometimes frozen blueberries are more flavorful and you need to have ripe strawberries (which we are blessed with in CA, but sometimes strawberries can be flavorless depending on the time of year). I’ll have to try the recipe again.
